問題文

Dear Hana,

How’s it going? I read an interesting magazine article about Japan, and I wanted to ask your opinion. It said that nowadays many young people in Japan are choosing to work part time instead of finding a full-time career. What kind of part-time work is popular with young people? And why is their attitude toward work changing? The article also said that young people in Japan are too dependent on their parents. Do you think that’s true?
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Take care,

Jonathan

Dear Jonathan

Hi! I am glad you are interested in my home country. As your magazine says, many young people prefer part time jobs rather than full time ones. Among them, sellers at retail stores are very popular. They regard their leasure time as center of their lives. So part time job is reasonable because it allow them to set holidays freely. I think this is not just because they are dependent on their parents at all. Many of them make their lives on their own. They just change the view with respect to their jobs. Do you understand? I wish I can help you very much. If you still have any questions, please feel free to reply.

Best,

Hana
