Unit 7

May I have your attention, please. We have just arrived at Tottori Station, and we will be making our way to famous Tottori Sand Dunes.
These dunes are over ten kilometers' long and at some sections over two kilometers' wide. They stretch along the Japan Sea coast, and offer some breathtaking scenary. The Tottori Sand Dunes are famous for a few reasons. One being that day was a location for the 1964 movie classic "Woman in the Dunes". The area is also know as an excellent paragliding site. As some of the dunes are quite high.
From here, we will take a twenty-minute bus ride up to the dunes, where you will have the chance to walk along the dunes, ride a cable car, or even take a ride on a camel.
